After buying my first home when interest rates were 17%, I knew what it was like to struggle to pay down a home loan. Through the next few years I was given advice from various financial institutions that although not terrible, certainly wasn’t advice that was going to help me get ahead in life.
The more experience I had, the more interested I was in getting involved in the finance world. So in 1999 I became a mortgage broker. This enabled me to help other people make choices that suited their lifestyle and future plans, instead of them being told what to do and not understanding why. Through the last fifteen years I have watched my clients buy their first home, upgrade, buy investment properties and go into business for themselves.
My business is much more than finding a loan for someone. It is about sharing knowledge and empowering people. It is about listening to someone’s plans, not only for now, but for the future as well, and structuring their finances accordingly.
